Pelvic Organ Prolapse Womens Health Mooroolbark

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) is a common condition among women, especially those who have given birth or have gone through menopause. It occurs when one or more pelvic organs, such as the uterus, bladder, or rectum, shift from their normal position and bulge into the vaginal wall. This can cause discomfort, pain, and embarrassment, affecting a woman’s quality of life.

If you suffer with pelvic dragging or vaginal bulging at the end of the day, you may have a vaginal prolapse. Conservative management of your prolapse may reduce or resolve your symptoms.

Our highly qualified caring clinicians can help:

●  Bowel management
●  Fitting a vaginal pessary if necessary

Physiotherapists Mooroolbark

Physiotherapy is a branch of medical science that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various physical impairments, disabilities, and injuries. Physiotherapy services are designed to improve the quality of life of people who suffer from these conditions, through various techniques and exercises that help to restore their physical function, mobility, and strength.

At Pelvic Strength Physiotherapy, we offer a wide range of services that cater to different patient needs. Our team of experienced and skilled physiotherapists is committed to providing personalised care and attention to every patient, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes.

Our physiotherapy services include:

  1. Manual therapy: This involves hands-on techniques such as joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and manipulation, to help reduce pain and restore function.
  2. Exercise therapy: This involves specific exercises and stretches that help to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance, and reduce the risk of future injuries.
  3. Sports physiotherapy: This involves the assessment, treatment, and prevention of sports-related injuries, with the aim of helping athletes to return to their sport as soon as possible.
  4. Pelvic Floor physiotherapy: This involves a thorough pelvic floor assessment to evaluate the strength and function of the pelvic floor muscles. We use a combination of manual and biofeedback techniques to assess muscle tone, endurance, and coordination.

Our physiotherapy services are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, and we work closely with each patient to develop a personalised treatment plan that meets their individual needs and goals. We also offer education and advice on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and home exercise programs, to help patients maintain their physical function and prevent future injuries.
