FAQ

Below are some commonly asked questions to guide you through our services, treatment process, and what to expect during your visit.

What can I expect from my physiotherapy visit?

During or before your first visit, you will be asked to complete a detailed health questionnaire to help us understand your medical history and current symptoms.

Your physiotherapist will then discuss your concerns and goals. Your physiotherapist may perform a physical assessment with your consent, which may include pelvic floor muscle assessment.

All treatments are individualised, and your physiotherapist will discuss your treatment plan, including exercises and lifestyle recommendations to improve your pelvic health.

Do I need to wear anything particular to my appointment?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing to your appointment. For pelvic health assessments, you will be provided with a cover for your comfort.

Is there car parking?

Yes, we have convenient on-site parking available for our patients. If parking is unavailable, there are also street parking options nearby.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required to book an appointment with us. However, if you have a referral from your GP or specialist, please bring it along.

We are happy to accept referrals under a care plan (EPC) or WorkCover/Transport Accident Commission (TAC) claims.

How much will my appointment cost?

The cost of your appointment will depend on the type and duration of the appointment. All our Pelvic Health Physiotherapists are post graduate-trained, while all our clinicians maintain high levels of ongoing professional development, and this is reflected in our fees.

For a detailed fee structure or questions about cost and rebates, please phone or email the clinic, or refer to costs listed in your online booking form. All fees are subject to change.

Our friendly reception team will inform you of the cost of your appointment when you book.

Do you accept private health insurance rebates, Extended Primary Care (EPC), TAC or WorkCover?

Yes. We accept referrals under the Medicare Extended Primary Care (EPC) plan. Please note that we are not a bulk billing practice; full payment is required, and out-of-pocket fees apply.

We accept private health insurance – please bring your health insurance card for direct claim processing.

WorkCover and TAC are accepted but must be paid in full and patient claimed independently.

For more information, check with your insurer or consult your GP.

How do I know which appointment type is right for me?

If you are unsure about your appointment type, please call the clinic on 9724 9755.

Our friendly reception staff are very experienced in being able to assist you with any enquiries and are trained to discuss your needs with empathy, confidentiality and professionalism.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please inform us as soon as possible.

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.

You can contact us by phone or email to reschedule your appointment. If you’re unable to attend, we will do our best to find an alternative time for you.

Do you offer Telehealth Appointments?

Yes we do, for a number of our appointment types.

If you are unsure if a telehealth appointment is suitable, please contact the clinic.
