We have on site musculo-skeletal pyhsiotherapists, dieticians, an exercise physiologist, urology nurse, lactation consultant, myotherapists and a variety of exercise classes available to you.

Can pelvic floor physiotherapy help to resolve a vaginal prolapse?

Yes research has shown pelvic floor physiotherapy can reduce vaginal prolapse symptoms.

Is leakage normal after have a baby?

It is common but not normal. We can help you to a drier future.

Will excercises help with the vaginal bulging I feel at the end of the day?

Yes. A strong PF is part of the conservative treatment for vaginal prolapse and has been shown to improve prolapse symptoms.

Is it safe to excercise when pregnant?

Low impact exercise is safe and beneficial for pregnancy. Come and join one of our fun exercise pregnancy classes.

Is painful intercourse anything to do with the pelvic floor?

Tight pelvic floor muscles can definitely contribute to painful intercourse

Is leakage post prostatectomy permanent?

Only 5% of patient will have significant leakage at 12 months. PFM training makes you drier more quickly.

Do I need a referral?

No simply make an appointment with our friendly reception staff.

Can you help stop the feeling that I need to empty my bladder?

PFM exercises and Bladder training can help stop these distressing symptoms.

Is constipation damaging?

Yes it weakens the pelvic floor and increases the risk of prolapse. Make an appointment for better bowel management.
