Margaret has been a Continence and Women’s Health physiotherapist for most of her career, with her passion ignited by her own journey through motherhood, she began running pre and postnatal exercise classes and leading innovative childbirth education classes. 

Currently a Senior Fellow in the Physiotherapy Department at The University of Melbourne, Margaret’s research and clinical expertise focus on pelvic floor dysfunction in women with pelvic pain, prolapse or incontinence, the use of ultrasound as a rehabilitation tool, and the role of exercise for women.  She specialises in using ultrasound for rehabilitation and advocates for the vital role of exercise in women’s health. She is a Continence and Women’s Health Specialist Physiotherapist, a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, and a past Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Continence Journal. She currently enjoys travelling to Asia to deliver pelvic health courses to physiotherapists throughout that region. 

Beyond work, she loves to head to the outback or the garden and spend time with her young grandchildren.
