Becoming a mother is an incredible journey, but it also comes with physical changes that need attention and care. Our FREE POSTNATAL INFORAMATION SESSIONS are designed to help new mums regain confidence in their bodies and return to their daily activities safely.
Our pelvic floor clinicians are passionate about empowering postnatal women to return to safe exercise, ensuring they feel strong, supported, and informed every step of the way.
These small group sessions will cover topics such as…

- The role of the pelvic floor in supporting the bladder, bowel, and uterus.
- Common postnatal concerns such as weakness, incontinence, or prolapse.
- How pregnancy and birth affect the pelvic floor (including C-sections).
- Simple, safe exercises to rebuild pelvic floor strength.
- Signs that indicate you should seek professional assessment.
Return to Sexual Function
- How hormonal changes affect libido and vaginal health.
- Common concerns such as pain during intercourse (dyspareunia) and how to address them.
- Tips for restoring intimacy and confidence after birth.
- When to seek help from a healthcare provider.
How to Check Your Abdominal Muscles & Strengthening Exercises
- Understanding Diastasis Recti (abdominal muscle separation) and how it affects posture and core strength.
- Step-by-step guide to self-check for separation.
- Safe, effective exercises to restore core function.
- Movements to avoid that may worsen the separation.
Issues Regarding Bladder, Bowel & Pelvic Pain
- Postpartum urinary incontinence and strategies to manage it.
- Bowel health, including postpartum constipation and haemorrhoids.
- Understanding pelvic pain (pelvic girdle pain, vaginal pain, or perineal discomfort).
- When to seek medical support for ongoing discomfort.
Returning to High-Impact Exercise
- How to know when your body is ready for running, jumping, or weightlifting.
- Essential core and pelvic floor strengthening exercises to prevent injury.
- Signs of overexertion (heaviness, leakage, or pain).
- Modifications and gradual progression for a safe return to exercise.
Who Can Attend?
These sessions are open to all new mums, between 4-16 weeks postntal, whether you have had a vaginal birth or C-section.
Babies are very welcome, so feel free to bring them along! You’ll receive professional guidance on restoring your body’s strength in a safe and supportive environment.
Wrap-Up:
Each session will conclude with Question Time over a cuppa, giving you the chance to ask any personal questions, connect with other mums, and chat with our clinicians in a relaxed setting.
